There are two preparatory meetings at the HSD on 24th of march 16:00-19:30 and 12th of may, 17:30-20:30.
Whether there will be an extra closing meeting online is not yet decided.
During the week and the preparatory meetings, we will work with students and teachers from our hosts at the University of Lille (France), as well as students from Belgium (University of Applied Sciences Antwerp ) and Spain (University of Mondragon)
The 12 participants will be selected at random from among all interested students. All those selected will be contacted in March to confirm their participation. A waiting list will be created for all others, which will be used in case of cancellations.

Dieses Seminar ist auf 12 TeilnehmerInnen beschränkt. (Vorgaben des BIP (Blended Intensive Programm); international cooperation with 3 partners (Universiies in Lille, Antwerp and Mondragon))Inhalt:
Climate change - caused by the burning of fossil fuels, agriculture, deforestation and industry - is confronting humanity with one of its greatest challenges ever. Climate change also entails a strong paradox: the countries and population groups least responsible for its causes are hit hardest by the destructive consequences of climate change. As if this were not unfair enough, these countries and vulnerable local communities have the fewest resources to defend themselves against the devastation caused by climate change.With Climate Justice, the topic of the programme is a contribution to questions of sustainability and the topic is ideally suited for transnational reflection and teaching. The debate on Green Social Work has also gained momentum in social work. The BIP therefore enables us to anchor current and pressing to-pics and to expand the knowledge.
Empfehlungen zu speziellen Kenntnissen und Bereitschaften:
Working language will be English. Some basic English skills are mandatory, but the level must not be too advanced either. So don´t be afraid on the English! It will be easy and fun to try, especially when meeting students from abroad. And: No one is a native speaker. We'll all just do our best.Arbeitsformen:
We will work in plenary sessions (lectures and discussions) as well as small working groups. During the week in Lille, exercises and field trips are included in the programme.The working groups, consisting out of 10 students from all four countries, focus on one out of 4 specific topics which will be linked to the issue of climate change:
• digitalization
• circular economy
• food: from responsible production to eating well - Geert
• poverty & housing & energy
• migration
An independent preparation of the topic before the trip to Lille is necessary for the group work and will be explained in the preparatory meeting.
Prüfungsleistungen bzw. Testat:
- A short and ungraded oral presentation of the preparatory work within the small group in the week in Lille as base of the common work.- A presentation of the results of each working group at the end of the week in Lille
- An english written paper (2 pages per person of each group) which display central results of a specific working field till 14th of June.
Sonstige Informationen:
The trip to Lille is subsidised by the Erasmus programme. Transportation by train and accomodation in a hostel of all student groupos is financed and organized by HSD. Accommodation is in shared rooms. There will be some paperwork necessary to get the fundings. Details will be explained in preparation of the seminar.Basisliteratur:
A list with basic literature will be provided in the seminar.A participation in both, the excursion to Lille in May as well as in the preparatory and closing meetings is mandatory to take part in the international seminar.
Die Teilnahme ist erforderlich, weil folgende Lernziele aus den folgenden Gründen nur mit einer Teilnahme der Studierenden erreichbar sind:
The international cooperation within the chosen topic as well as a comparison of contexts and interventions need continuous collaboration. Therefore, the work in small working groups to learn from each other and construct and reflect differences and similarities are part of the study week. Field visits will also be part of the programme.
Versäumte Sitzungen können folgendermaßen ausgeglichen werden:
If illness occurs during the excursion, this must be proven and, after consultation with the lecturer, compensation for the absences will be provided.
Diese Anordnung erfolgt auf Beschluss des Fachbereichsrates.
