Inhalt:
in recent years right-Wing populist parties and movements have gained ground in several, but not all European countries. This seminar follows several questions related to this development, such as- what are possible reasons for this phenomena;
- what are the political profiles of particular parties;
- who is voting for this kind of parties;
- how are these political protagonists making use of cultural issues;
- how do these groups try to attract young people;
- in which way are historic events made into ideological narratives;
- what is the place of religion in right-wing extremist worldview;
- is there any kind of international cooperation between groups and parties;
- what is the role of violence;
... etcetera

You should be able to understand and speak English. Please note that we do not expect you to be perfect concerning this matter.Arbeitsformen:
lectures; student presentations; class discussionPrüfungsleistungen bzw. Testat:
student presentation (30 minutes) based on recent academic literature and Hand-out (2-3 pages)plus
short summary of presentation given as part of an award ceremony at 8th of December at HSD
